Hockney Photos

I didn’t have a central theme when editing these pictures. I did however enjoy doing the Hockney style. I pasted over the original photo first with the layers and then removed the background image until it was to my liking.  I’m not a big fan of the style itself, but I believe I succeeded in doing it correctly. I like the first one more because I'm not good with photographing portraits.

  1. Where is your artist statement? This is required for each and every post. As far as your images, I cannot decide which one I prefer, both are very well done. Did you photograph the grid or splice the images? Hard to tell!

  2. I Feel these are very successful Hockney collages. You used complimentary lighting and piece the pictures together seamlessly. I like the profile and how it all fits perfectly. The Landscape is a different approach that I appreciate. The focus is clear in both and you can tell exactly what the picture is of. The pictures are exposed well and fit as if it was one picture. I really like it good job!
