Favored Pictures

Model: Ayana King

Just wanted to take something that looked decent enough to not look simple.

Dyptich Photos

This photo was suppose to be about a girl holding an umbrella and then being blown away, pretty self
explanitory.
In this picture, Shantae is first enjoying the smell of flowers and then being attacked by bees in the second photo.
Model: Shantae Smith

The last picture is my favorite, the concept was suppose to be the competiton involved in dancing, like any sport there will be people who are jealous of your talent, so in the first one the girl is going on with her performance while the second girl is glaring at her for being so good.
Model: Ayana King

Object Series

My object series tells a story. :3

I feel that this piece had a really nice concept, however, I really think that I didn't need the flash because the objects were already shiny by themselves. I tried adjusting it but it didn't work out well. But overall I think it was successful in what I was trying to portray. The black background really helped the golden necklaces stand out more than a white background would have done. Keeping the pieces still was somewhat of a difficulty.

Photo Journaling

I recently made a photobook dedicated to art(and artists), here are a few screenshots.

This is my one and only favorite picture. Probably because I actually put some thought into it. I think it came out really well. The only thing I hate is that the top paint brush got cut off..

I used the website, http://www.blurb.com/ to make the photobook.

Surreal Montage

Unfortunately, I couldn't get my original idea done, however I will work on it on my own time. This photo is about how we take our possessions for granted. That they'll always be there and that we can depend solely on them. However, in this picture, the model's last possession (a simple cushioned seat) is being lifted from her. Yet she holds her hand out wanting/waiting for more materials. As if they should simply fall in her lap. I like the background picture because it's barren and has no life to it. I'd like to also take note that the model is purposely alone because her materials have consumed her so well that she has left her own family and friends behind. I feel the piece was successful enough to the point that it's abstract yet aesthetic. I do, however, feel like something is missing. I also wish I could've made the light in the window darker.

Color Theory Photo Walk

I chose these two colors because they both have a very soft appearance to them.

Surreal Photo Ideas

For my surreal photomantage I want to have myself in the center, and two other versions of me on each side. Both of the different 'sides' of me will have a different characteristics. My head will be cracked open and inside there will be mechanics, bolts, and nuts, etc and they'll be trying to 'work' inside of it. While my face is somewhat placid. I also want to somehow get gauze wrap around one of the sides eyes. I want to name the pieces 'Destructive Perfectionist'.

I want my other piece to be somewhat of a collage based around trauma of abuse. I'm not sure what exactly what I want it to look like just yet but I am going to use people more than likely.

30 Day Challenge Collage

I chose to make the pictures I liked more larger than the ones I felt weren't my best photos. Some of these pictures I really liked(sunset, straws, fish, the trees, etc.) and other's I didn't like so much. I know it's not very creative, but I dont' really like editing photos that much, and I'm not a big fan of the software we have to use either.

Hockney Photos

I didn’t have a central theme when editing these pictures. I did however enjoy doing the Hockney style. I pasted over the original photo first with the layers and then removed the background image until it was to my liking.  I’m not a big fan of the style itself, but I believe I succeeded in doing it correctly. I like the first one more because I'm not good with photographing portraits.
